There's nothing to complain about the action-packed gameplay of Diablo Immortal. Combating demonic hordes is satisfying; there's a lot of variation in character classes as well as abilities and possible builds There's plenty of exciting loot to be found. In terms of structure, however, the game has some issues.

Diablo Immortal doesn't cost anything to play. However, in the initial few hours, I began wanting it to. I would've rather pay a flat, one-time fee to play at my own speed instead of being repeatedly bombarded with (surprisingly expensive) microtransactions every time I played. Diablo Immortal is by no means as bad as free-to-play games, but each single F2P technique hinders the game instead of enhancing it.

First of all, there's no need to pay the cost of Diablo Immortal when you're not interested in it. You'll be able to explore the whole story as well as find plenty of loot and take part in all of the side-activities. Also, for the first 20 or 30 characters levels You may not notice you're missing much.

In the course of the game, things slow down considerably, and the F2P grind comes in. (This happens around the time that you begin to feel genuinely invested in the game. Think about this.) As opposed to the regular Diablo titles, Diablo Immortal occasionally just ends the storyline in its tracks and won't let you continue unless you reach an unspecified threshold. This wouldn't be a problem however, the game severely restricts how you can earn significant amounts XP each day. After a handful of time-limited quests, your options are pretty like "run your same quests and over" instead of "buy Battle Pass." Battle Pass."

(It is interesting that the game flat-out recommends buying the Battle Pass as an efficient way to level up.)

That's, of course the point where all the predatory F2P game play comes into play. The game comes with five or six different currencies, and it's very clear which currencies you can earn, or what you'll need to purchase. Battle Pass Battle Pass costs between $5 to $15, based on how many cosmetics you're interested in -- however, there are two additional "daily rewards" subscriptions, priced at between $10 and $20, respectively. If you want to earn every reward that the game gives players, you'll be looking at around $45 from the beginning.
