The game is supported by cosmetic microtransactions and supporter packs. Grinding Gear Games has assured that they would never sell content that modifies gameplay. The developer hasn’t backed away from that in the five years since its original release. Path of Exile PS4 is expected to Path of Exile Items release in February 2019.
It would be fair to say that Path of Exile is still generating plenty of hype. Since the popular ARPG made the transition to console, it has enjoyed plentiful limelight with many discovering the previously PC-exclusive title for the very first time. There are a lot of understandable comparisons between PoE and the popular action-RPG franchise entry Diablo III, with many believing that Path of Exile improves on the Blizzard giant in a number of ways.
So what is it that sets Path of Exile apart from other titles of a similar nature? It does have many things to boast about for sure, including its seemingly endless levels of customization, addictive combat mechanics, deep narrative and also the fact that it is indeed free to play. What’s more, it isn’t a pay-to-win situation either, with the monetization aspect being based on cosmetic items only, so there’s no need to panic on other players getting ahead of the game if you’re strapped for cash.
Yet there is one feature that does seem to stand out the most, and that is how well Path of Exile takes what should be a common and depth-lacking entity and turning it into something far more effective. When you think of items in general for gaming, the majority of the time you expect them to Path of Exile Currency simply represent a character’s equipment and not much else. However, PoE goes one step further and uses them to expand on other features that are in the game.
