We begin in Autumn with a race via quiet country roads and woodland areas, passing small villages and fields, this eases you into the demonstration and permits you to get used to the controls.
Before long, you are thrust into the Forza Horizon 4 Credits midst's of winter, where driving a larger vehicle more appropriate to freezing conditions means you are now having to take a great deal more care of your driving method, it really highlights nicely the difference in physics between driving in normal states, and driving in the wet, on ice, or in other extreme weather. Observing the winter, you are then (naturally) racing in the spring, this time at a rally car type scenario being flanked by many dirt bikes.
You've got to take care here in order to stay on the track and hit all the checkpoints, as the detail of the woods you are rushing through is unbelievable, it is really easy to end up getting lost here. Finally the opening demo transitions into the summertime, where you speed together with the buy FH4 Credits Red Arrows flying above you, and automobiles of all sorts fly around seemingly randomly in an effort to make it into the Horizon Festival site, in which the opening finishes.
It is a really nice opening to the demonstration, obviously orchestrated and full of set pieces to showcase the game engine, images and automobiles, and is not exactly how the last match plays, but it's really enjoyable to play.
