Most recently, Chris Paul apparently received a special PE colorway of the Air Jordan 3, which he rocked during the final game of the 2018 NBA Playoffs. By the 2014 off-season, Ray was a free agent, but he was expected to make a comeback during the 2015–16 NBA season. Unfortunately, that did not happen and he somewhat made an official announcement about his retirement from professional basketball on November 1st, 2016 in his “Letter to My Younger Self.” After Michael Jordan, Ray Allen is the second NBA player to have received some of the finest Player Exclusive pairs from Jordan Brand. Recently, he showcased various never-before-seen Air Jordan PE iterations in an Instagram photo, which also features his new autobiographical book.

Jordan Sneakers 2017 shared the above photo on his official Instagram account on April 12th. In addition to the two copies of “From The Outside,” four different Air Jordan PE shoes can be seen in the photo. These include an Air Jordan 4, Air Jordan 11 and an Air Jordan 14, all three of which are sporting varying Green- and Gold-colored detailing inspired by the Boston Celtics, Ray’s former team. The four is the Air Jordan 11 “Two Rings,” which Ray actually laced up in for the opening night of the 2013–14 NBA season. Of course, none of these colorways will arrive at retailers.At his peak, he was one of the leading scoring guards in professional basketball, well-known for his impressive three-point field goals. As the book’s complete title signifies, it literally takes readers on a journey through his life and the game he loved, documenting the highs and lows of his NBA career, both on the court and behind the scenes.
